Highcliffe Bowling Club was formed in 1975 "on a magnificent site, quite unique in bowling circles, in Nea Meadow." (Sheila Herringshaw, A Portrait of Highcliffe).
At the begining of the 2008 season the club leased the pavilion and green from the local authority. This change gave the club a new impetus with a fresh approach.
Now that we have taken on the responsibility for the maintenance of the green its condition is comparable with that of other local clubs and we welcome visiting and touring teams.
Highcliffe Bowling Club was highly commended in the prestigious 2011 Bowls England Club of the Year Competition, sponsored by Drakes Pride.
Club events are organised throughout the year and include: coffee mornings; quiz nights; BBQ's; skittles; carpet bowls; outings; parties; dinners and an annual holiday in the Autumn.
The club is licensed and facilities include disabled access.
